Description
The Dom Pérignon brand name was first registered by Eugène Mercier, the founder of Mercier Champagne. He subsequently sold the brand to the Moët & Chandon Champagne house, who used the Dom Pérignon name for its prestige cuvée, first released in 1937. Both Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon are now part of the LVMH group.

Each vintage is a creation, singular and unique, that expresses both the character of the year, and the character of Dom Pérignon. After at least eight years of elaboration in the cellars, the wine embodies the perfect balance of Dom Pérignon, the Plénitude of harmony. The quality of the 2010 grapes was balanced, with rich flavors and strong contrasts. A mixture of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir grapes, this Champagne is light and warm on the nose, with aromas of white flowers and peaches. On the palate there are strong, clear peach flavours and a gentle smokiness that offsets the vintage’s characteristic acidity.

The wine is firm, restrained and full-bodied, and you can feel the vast pattern in it. Appropriate acidity and spice flavors converge and blend, and the finish is slightly salty and mineral.
